This system integrates a total station with a zoom camera, combining automatic surveying and remote monitoring functions to enable real-time observation and precise measurements from a distance. By automatically tracking the prism attached to the hammer or pile with the total station, the current position can be confirmed on the monitor. Construction can also proceed while confirming the distance and elevation to the design position in real time; allowing accuracy that previously could only be checked by surveyors.

The two total stations must be positioned so that the pile can be observed from an approximately perpendicular. When sighting at the pre-entered design coordinates, a zoomed-in image and stadia lines indicating the pile's design placement position will be displayed on the TV monitor from two directions. The operator can guide the pile to the design position while monitoring the TV screen.
